Catch this Pinay in Netflix's hit film 'The Platform'

The Spanish thriller "The Platform" has been in the country's top films and series on Netflix for quite a while now, but did you know that one of the cast members is actually a Filipina?

Filipina-Spanish actress Alexandra Masangkay, who plays "Miharu" in the film, was born in Barcelona, Spain but both her parents were originally from Batangas!

Before starring in "The Platform," the 27-year-old actress competed in the Spanish version of American Idol back in 2011, and acted in Spain's television musical series equivalent to Glee, "Dreamland" in 2014.

Masangkay is no stranger to the Philippines. In 2017, she was spotted in El Nido, as seen on her Instagram account.
