Jo Koy's Philippine special is coming to Netflix on June 12

Remember when Jo Koy visited the Philippines for a Netflix special? That gem is coming to us on June 12!

"Jo Koy: In His Elements" is the FilAm comic's newest special with Netflix after "Live From Seattle" and "Comin' In Hot."

"This is that one special where I was like, I need to go back home, the Philippines. I need to show people where my mom's from," Jo Koy said in his video announcement.

But Jo Koy did not come home alone — for the special, he brought some of his FilAm friends who haven't been back to the Philippines to show them "how beautiful the country is, how beautiful the people are."

Jo Koy added that everything about the show is Filipino from the cameramen to the audience.

"I'm so proud of this one. My mom's gonna be even more proud. I finally brought Netflix to the Philippines. Mahal kita," he said.

Jo Koy was out and about in the Philippines in January, roaming Farmers Market in Cubao and giving a surprise performance in a Quezon City bar.

He was also in the country when the Taal Volcano erupted.
