Teacher wears 'Encantadia' costumes while working from home

An elementary school teacher in Bataan went viral after wearing "Encantadia" costumes while working from home amid the quarantine.

According to Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," Lorena Dela Cruz is a certified fan of the iconic GMA-7 fantaserye since the original aired in 2005.

Teacher Lorena has the complete costume of all four Sang'gres: Amihan, Pirena, Alena, and Danaya.

"Nagtuturo na po ako nung nagsimula ng Encantadia. Talaga pong pinapasok ko siya sa mga lesson ko kasi po may nakukuha ring mga mabuting asal," she said.

The Department of Education's Facebook page shared Teacher Lorena's photos, some of which showed the Sang'gres "brilyante."

She doesn't have any powers herself, but Teacher Lorena said education is the one thing she can pass on to her students.

"Kasi po 'yung edukasyon talagang napaka-importante. 'Yan po 'yung magiging kalasag nila at sandata sa hamon ng buhay pagdating ng araw," she said.

Sanya Lopez, who played Sang'gre Danaya, thanked Teacher Lorena for inspiring many amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

"Isa kayo sa mga nakakapagpa-good vibes din po sa amin at for sure marami ring mga kabataan ang nae-encourage pa sa mga ganyang paandar ng ating mga guro," she said.
