Miss Philippines Earth candidates showcase cultural attire in virtual contest

Miss Philippines Earth candidates flaunted their traditional dresses during the pageant’s online cultural attire competition.

According to Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras” Friday, the beauty pageant contestants joined the virtual contest and carried their outfits elegantly in the safety of their own places amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Whether they’re wearing a long gown with colorful fishes attached to it or a floral attire that lit up in the dark, the beautiful contestants displayed their dresses that showcased their provinces’ rich culture.

Each of the contestants were also given the chance to explain the story behind their outfits, from what material they used to what it represented.

In the end, Isobel Teaño from Opol, Misamis Oriental, won the gold medal for best in cultural attire.
