For Zirkoh and Klownz comedians, shows go on via online ‘Zirkohvery Channel’

Despite the closure of Zirko and Klownz, the bars’ standup comedians continue to give laughs through the online comedy show “Zirkohvery Channel.”

During Eat Bulaga!’s “Bawal Judgmental” segment on Saturday, comedian AJ Tamiza shared that she and other Zirkoh and Klownz performers go live on Facebook every night to bring joy and laughter to everyone at home.

“Sa Zirkohvery Channel, every night meron kaming ini-invite na guest from politics, artista, sports,” AJ shared.

Apart from talking and getting together, performers also ask their guests for pre-loved items so they can auction it off.

The money earned from the online auctions are then divided among the performers, said AJ.

AJ shared how heartbroken he was after hearing about the closure of Zirko and Klownz.

“Nakakalungkot talaga siya. Siyempre mahirap kung ikaw pa breadwinner ng family pero kailangan ko magpakatatag, mag-move forward at mag-step up,” the comedian shared.

“Kasi kapag nilunod ko sarili ko sa lungkot ... pwede malungkot naman today, pero tomorrow move forward for your family,” he added.

“Zirkohvery Channel” goes live every night at 8:30 p.m. and can be streamed on Zirkoh’s Facebook page.

Allan K’s comedy bars Zirkoh and Klowz shut down after the comedian filed for bankruptcy amid the uncertainty brought by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

More than 100 employees of the two bars are expected to lose their jobs due to the closure. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
