'The Perks of Being a Wallflower,' 'The Theory of Everything' coming to Netflix next month


Two more well-loved films are coming to Netflix this September.

Spotted in the streaming service's Coming Soon section are "The Perks of Being A Wallflower," and "The Theory of Everything."

 


"The Theory of Everything" is a biographical romantic drama about theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) and his ex-wife Jane Hawking (Felicity Jones). It was adapted by Anthony McCarten from Jane's 2007 memoir "Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen."

The film received several nominations and awards following its release in 2014.

It is set to premiere on Netflix on September 4.

 


"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is a coming of age story about a teenager named Charlie (Logan Lerman) who has just been discharged from a mental health care institution. He learns to navigates high school with his new, older friends Sam (Emma Watson) and Patrick (Ezra Miller).

It was based on the 1999 novel by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote and directed the film. It won several awards after it hit the big screen in 2012.

It will premiere on Netflix on September 11. —JCB, GMA News
