Zombie heist film 'Army of the Dead' is getting an anime series, prequel
Zack Snyder's new zombie heist film "Army of the Dead" isn't due until next year, but the movie is already confirmed to have a prequel coming up!
According to Netflix, the film is also getting a spin-off anime series.
So what's "Army of the Dead?" all about?
The film follows the aftermath of a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas where a group of mercenaries attempt to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.
The all-star international cast includes Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder, and Samantha Win.
Snyder is the renowned director of "Justice League," "Wonder Woman," and "300."
The prequel will be directed by and star Schweighöfer and will follow his character, Ludwig Dieter.
The anime series, meanwhile, chronicles the origin story of Scott (Bautista) and his rescue crew during the initial fall of Vegas as they confront the mysterious source of the zombie outbreak.
