Willie Revillame to give 1,000 tablets to students to help them with online schooling

Willie Revillame is giving away 1,000 tablets to students, to help them shift to online schooling amid the COVID-19 crisis.

He announced the news on "Tutok To Win" last August 24.

Willie showed some of the sample android tablets he plans to give, to help equip those in need of the gadget for school.

"Um-order ako ng marami ho para sa pasukan ng mga bata. Kasi maraming nakikiusap sa akin, 'Pwede ba 'yung para sa pag-aaral ng mga anak namin?' 'Di ba? Siguro naman tama naman 'yung ginawa natin," Willie said.

Willie also raised his concern for those who are in the province and don't have access to the internet.

"'Yung mga namamalimos na tsuper, nagbigay tayo ng tulong kahit papano. Ito naman ngayon ang kailangan, wala sila pambili eh. Ang problema lang, ang tanong ko, paano 'yung nasa probinsya kung wala silang wi-fi?”he said.

The host of "Wowowin" said his program is open to representatives of the Department of Education to discuss how else students can adjust to the new online schooling set up.

'Yun lang ang nasa puso't isip ko tumulong, tumulong, tumulong, magbigay ng saya, 'yun lang," Willie said.

Willie also introduced a new segment called "Spin A Wil" on Wowowin as they hit 10 million followers on Facebook.
