20 writers graduate from GMA’s comedy writing workshop
A batch composed of 20 writers has finished their workshop on comedy writing at GMA Network!
In Lhar Santiago’s report on “24 Oras” Tuesday, GMA senior vice president for entertainment group Lilybeth Rasonable said the graduates would now enter a new phase in their writing careers.
“Next step nila ngayon is immersion, so they will be distributed to different comedy programs para ito na talaga ’yung experience nila sa totoong trabaho ng comedy writers,” she said.
The organizers of the workshop were pleased with the output produced by the two batches of participants.
“Ang likot ng mga utak nila, the millennials and the Gen Z, malilikot utak, magaganda,” said Bang Arespacochaga, assistant vice president for comedy, reality and infotainment. “Actually they presented different concepts from narratives to non-narratives, ang gaganda.”
Comedians Eugene Domingo and Michael V also sent their congratulations to the new graduates.
Eugene expressed her excitement with working with them in the future, while Bitoy said: “Sana natutunan niyo makipag-communicate using a common language, which is the language of comedy.” – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
