Millie Bobby Brown breaks down her favorite ‘Enola Holmes’ fashion moments

In her new film “Enola Holmes,” Millie Bobby Brown plays Sherlock Holmes’ teen sister who goes on a swash-buckling mystery adventure of her own.

Apart from cracking codes and teaching young girls a thing or two about women empowerment, the young sleuth-in-the-making served some powerful looks and disguises that mirrored the strong female character’s unique personality.

Millie talked about some of her favorite “Enola Holmes” fashion moments during a recent virtual roundtable with the press (warning, spoiler alert!).

The 16-year-old actress, who was also a producer on the film, said she fell in love with many of Enola’s looks courtesy of their incredible costume designer Consolata Boyle.

If she had to pick a favorite, however, it was what she called the “Sherlock look.”

If you watched the film, there’s a part where Enola emerges in a simple, masculine ensemble, saying “the game is afoot!” which Sherlock fans would know as one of his famous sayings.

“I loved that she dressed up [and] our costume designer really dug deep in finding these looks that just took my breath away when I first tried them on,” Millie said.

“But my favorite one was probably the Sherlock look just because it was the most comfortable and because I loved the fact that she was wearing something masculine, and that she enjoyed it,” she added.

Of course, Enola wore a lot of elegant outfits that got an honorable mention, particularly that elegant red dress she had to wear with an uncomfortable corset.

There was also that hilarious scene where Enola had to disguise herself as a widow in the hopes of uncovering a secret to her mother’s disappearance.

For those who haven’t seen it yet, “Enola Holmes” follows the younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes as she embarks on what is essentially her first case.

Raised by her free-thinking and eccentric mother, Eudoria played by Helena Bonham Carter, Enola happily lives an unconventional life and uses her unique set of skills to unravel a conspiracy that threatens to set back the course of history.

“Enola Holmes,” based on the books by Nancy Springer, premieres September 23 on Netflix.
