Ludo: Boardgame Bar & Cafe in Quezon City is closing its doors after six years.
In a Facebook post Saturday, the restaurant announced: “Ludo: Boardgame Bar and Cafe QC is shutting down its doors.”
Ludo shared that although they’re closing, they’re planning to find a new location “when everything is right in the world, when it’s safe for friends and family to sit together once again to roll some dice, play some cards and move some pieces.”
Sharing how six friends gave birth to the restaurant despite the odds, Ludo added: “We have met many wonderful and loyal customers along the way. Many who shared in our dreams of creating a place where everyone can play tabletop games to their hearts content.”
The restaurant proceeded to thank its staff and the directors who “began as friends and have become family.”
Ludo said, “This is not a ‘good-bye,’ but rather a ‘see you again soon.’”
Aside from Ludo, another board game resto in Quezon City, Snacks & Ladders, has also closed down its doors amid the pandemic. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
