Aubrey Miles has a rare house plant worth Php300,000

Aubrey Miles is a certified plantita even before it became a trend!

In a “Brigada” episode last Saturday, Aubrey shared that she owned a variagated billietiae, a rare house plant which is hard to grow and maintain.

Because of this, the plant is now reportedly worth Php 300,000!

“Actually mga 12 years ago, ito ’yung buntis ako sa second son ko, medyo tamad ako mag-garden so ang ginawa ko ’yung plants ko from my garden pinasok ko sa loob,” she said.

“I have this expensive plant. I’ll cut it. I’ll grow it then I’ll sell it ... Not in public but I sell it to my personal friends.”

According to Plants in the City PH owner Norie Retiro, there has been an increase of over 1,000% in the demand for plants. Demand is getting higher while the supply is almost running out, making prices go higher. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
