Who is the girl who appeared on Park Seo-jun’s commercial for PHL telco?
Filipinos on social media have been wondering who was the girl Park Seo-Jun was comforting in his new commercial for Smart Communications.
On Wednesday, the Philippine telecommunications company named Park Seo-Jun as its newest endorser and released a commercial featuring the actor and a woman who seemed to have Filipina features.
In the video, Park Seo-jun appeared to be consoling the woman who, in the story, had just gone through a breakup.
After seeing the video, many Filipinos began speculating who was the lucky woman who got to be cheered up by none other than the “Itaewon Class” star himself!
And because the internet does not disappoint, we have the answer: She is May Myat Noe, a 22-year-old Burmese actress, fashion model and beauty pageant title holder.
A few hours after the release of the promotional video, eagle-eyed fans discovered the model’s Instagram account, where she also shared the clip.
“Smart Ako @bn_sj2013 So blessed to be part of this. Thank you @jsagency.kr and @livesmart for giving me this opportunity,” she wrote.
According to her website, she was born and raised in Yangon, studied in Singapore, then went back to Myanmar, which she represented at the Miss Asia Pacific World in 2014, where she won. She was also a contestant in the fourth season of “Asia’s Next Top Model” in 2016.
Park Seo-jun is the latest Korean superstar endorser of Smart, following previous endorsers and “Crash Landing on You” stars Hyun Bin and Son Hye-jin. – RC, GMA News
