Shortly after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris won the US Presidential Elections, TIME magazine put them on the cover.

"A time to heal," the cover headline read, showing a photo of Biden and Harris hand in hand wearing black face masks and celebrating their win.

According to TIME, Biden and Harris "usher in a new era."

Biden won the presidency on Saturday (US time) after a bitter election campaign. In his address in Delaware, he promised to unify a deeply divided country, even as President Donald Trump refused to accept defeat, Reuters reported.

Kamala Harris meanwhile became the first woman, first Black American and first Asian American to win the second highest US office. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
