According to the New York Times, President Donald Trump who was elected in 2016 was the first US president who did not have a pet in any kind in over 100 years.

Mr. Biden, on the other hand, got a German Shepherd puppy named Champ from a breeder in 2008.

In 2018, the Biden family adopted another dog named Major from the Delaware Humane Association.

Trump’s predecessor, former President Barack Obama, and his family had taken care of two Portuguese water dogs named Bo and Sunny during their time at the White House.
