Jane Austen's works are set to be brought to life through a new series.
According to Variety, The CW is turning the classic novels into six "modern stories," with one season for each novel, starting with "Pride and Prejudice."
"Perry Mason" writer Eleanor Burgess will serve as writer and executive producer for the series.
Austen's most famous novels include "Pride and Prejudice," which was adapted into a movie in 2005 starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfayden, and "Emma," which was recently brought to life by Anya Taylor-Joy and Johnny Flynn.
She also wrote "Sense and Sensibility, "Persuasion," "Mansfield Park," "Northanger Abbey," and "Lady Susan." —JCB, GMA News
