Rabiya Mateo launches donation drive on 24th birthday for Ulysses, Rolly victims

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo is launching a donation drive on her 24th birthday for the victims of Typhoons Ulysses and Rolly.

“Tomorrow will be my 24th birthday but I cannot be fully happy knowing some victims of Typhoon Rolly and Ulysses have nothing to eat or wear,” the beauty queen wrote in an Instagram post on Friday.

“To all Ilonggos, I’m asking for your support in my Donation Drive on my birthday in any kinds (No clothing for sanitary purposes),” she added.

All donations, Rabiya said, would be delivered to the typhoon victims in Metro Manila.

“In the darkest moment, don’t be afraid to be a helping hand to those people who needed it the most,” the beauty queen said.

For those interested in donating, Rabiya said to simply contact her or Miss Air at 09176053868.

Typhoon Ulysses, which brought strong winds and heavy rains to the country Wednesday night, left many communities submerged in flood.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the death toll due to Ulysses has gone up to 33, while 22 were injured and 20 remained missing. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
