K-pop singer Chungha tests positive for COVID-19


K-pop star Chungha tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to a report on Soompi, Chungha wrote a letter to her fans to confirm the news. Her agency, MNH Entertainment, also shared some details on her situation.

"Chungha recently found out that she had come into contact with a confirmed case and voluntarily got tested. On the morning of December 7, the test results came out positive," their statement read.

The singer is now undergoing self-quarantine and has halted all of her activities ahead of the release of her first full album.

Chungha also reminded her fans to be careful with their own health and not worry too much about her.

"I'm leaving this post in case you get too worried if I don't say anything. I'm sorry and sorry again. I tried to be careful, but I guess it wasn't enough," she said. "I'll return again and promote in good health!"

Chungha was part of the soundtrack of Korean dramas "Hotel del Luna," "Record of Youth," and "Dr. Romantic 2." —MGP, GMA News
