'We Can Be Heroes' trailer introduces Sharkboy and Lavagirl's overpowered daughter

Sharkboy and Lavagirl are all grown up in Netflix's upcoming family film.

The streaming platform just released a teaser for "We Can Be Heroes," directed by Robert Rodriguez, who also helmed the iconic "Spy Kids" and "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl."

The new film doesn't focus on Sharkboy and Lavagirl, but rather a group of children following the fall of heroes. When alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, the kids must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.

It stars YaYa Gosselin, Pedro Pascal, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christian Slater, Boyd Holbrook, Christopher McDonald and Adriana Barraza
