How are you planning to spend the first month of 2021?

So, from Oscar-winning action-adventures to tear-jerking romantic dramas, here are 20 exciting new titles that you'll be able to find on streaming sites very soon.

1. 1917 (January 2 on HBO Go)

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers are given a seemingly impossible mission.

This Oscar-winning World War I epic directed by Sam Mendes has been regarded for its fantastic cinematography and seasoned with appearances from Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden and Andrew Scott.

2. The Winx Saga (January 22 on Netflix)

Your sparkly childhood fairy heroes are finally coming to life!

This new Netflix series follows a teen fairy named Bloom who learns to master magic while forming friendships, falling in love, fighting monsters and, most importantly, searching for her true identity.

3. Snowpiercer Season 2 (January 25 on Netflix)

The whole world has been plunged into a second Ice Age, and survivors are forced to live out their days on a luxury train that ploughs through snow and ice.

4. Riverdale Season 5 (January 21 on Netflix)

Be honest: We know you missed “Riverdale.”

Don’t worry, Archie Andrews and the gang are finally coming back with fresh episodes this January — That means more blood, more romance, and of course, more mysteries.

5. Batwoman Season 2 (January 18 on HBO Go)

The city of Gotham was left defenseless since the first Batwoman, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose), went missing in season 1.

The story continues with the brave Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) taking on the mantle of the female Caped Crusader.

6. History of Swear Words

Apparently, Hollywood actor Nicholas Cage hosts an educational history series called “History of Swear Words” and it promises you a history lesson you didn’t know you needed.

7. Pieces of a Woman (January 7 on Netflix)

A heartbreaking home birth leaves a woman grappling with the profound emotional fallout, isolated from her partner and family. 

This harrowing drama, which stars Vanessa Kirby and Shia LaBeouf, was inspired by real grief.

8. The Dig (January 29)

This film tells an extraordinary tale about an excavator and his team who discover a wooden ship from the Dark Ages while digging up a burial ground on a woman's estate.

See another side to “Mamma Mia” star Lily James in this historical drama directed by Simon Stone.

9. Penguin Bloom (January 27 on Netflix)

The world of a young mother turns upside down after a near-fatal accident that leaves her unable to walk.

Based on a true story, the film stars Academy Award-nominated actress Naomi Watts and “Walking Dead” star Andrew Lincoln.

10. The White Tiger (January 22 on Netflix)

Priyanka Chopra-Jonas stars in a new drama based on Aravind Adiga’s bestselling novel “The White Tiger.”

The story follows an ambitious driver for a rich Indian family uses his wit and cunning to escape from poverty and become an entrepreneur.

11. Euphoria F*ck Anyone Who’s Not A Seablob (January 25 on HBO Go)

“Euphoria,” the Emmy Award-winning phenomenon, is coming back with another special episode this January.

The story picks up on Jules (Hunter Schafer) over the Christmas holiday as she reflects on the year.

12. What Happened to Mr. Cha? (January 7 on Netflix)

Now that he’s past his prime, superstar struggles to restore the glory of his heyday as an actor.

This film stars Cha In-pyo, who was actually one of Korea’s biggest actors in the 1990s after starring in classic dramas like "All My Love For You" (1994) and "Star in My Heart" (1997)

13. Cobra Kai Season 3 (January on Netflix)

This action-packed series takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) iconic row.

Season 3 picks up on the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which has left Miguel in a precarious condition.

14. Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) (January 23 on Netflix)

Everything comes unraveling for three successful women who work on a radio show as twists, turns and troubles plague their seemingly happy marriages.

This Korean series, which stars Sung Hoon, Lee Tae Gon, Park Joo Mi and more, explores different facets of married couples in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.

15. Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (January 13 on Netflix)

Beneath the sunlit glamor of 1985 L.A. lurks a relentless serial killer. Two detectives, however, won't rest until they catch him.

This limited Netflix docu-series tells the chilling true story of how Richard Ramirez, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, was hunted down and brought to justice.

16. Outside the Wire (January 15 on Netflix)

In the near future, a drone pilot sent into a war zone finds himself paired with a top-secret android officer on a mission to stop a nuclear attack.  

This upcoming science fiction film stars “Avengers” star Anthony Machie and was directed by Mikael Håfström.

17. C.B Strike: Lethal White (January 21 on HBO Go)

A retired soldier-turned-private detective in London solves some of the difficult cases slipped away from the observation of police with his assistant.

This thriller is based on the best-selling crime novels written by Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.

18. The Rook (January 4 on HBO Go)

A new supernatural spy thriller is coming your way.

Myfanwy Thomas, a woman who wakes up in the rain beside London’s Millennium Bridge with no memory of who she is and no explanation for the circle of dead bodies splayed out around her.

19. Finding Ohana (January 29 on Netflix)

Of course, we can’t forget the kids!

“Finding Ohana” is an upcoming family-friendly film that follows two Brooklyn-raised siblings who find a journal pointing to long-lost treasure that sets them on an epic adventure with new friends, and leads them to reconnect with their Hawaiian heritage.

20. Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 2 (January 22 on Netflix)

Your kids can also enjoy an exciting new season of “Jurassic World” very soon.

The family-friendly series is coming back with another season of teen campers on the run from dinosaurs and find hope of a rescue with a small group of eco-tourists, but things aren’t what they seem.
