Disney is in search of a Filipino lola for an upcoming film


Your lola may be the next Disney star!

Walt Disney Studios is in search of a Filipino or Filipino-American woman who will play a grandmother in an upcoming film.

As shared in a casting call, renowned casting director Sarah Finn is looking for a female between the ages of 50 and 90 years old who can act.

“Katie Doyle Casting, Hawaii is assisting Sarah Finn Casting (Avengers: Endgame, The Mandalorian, Guardians of the Galaxy) in looking for an actress to play a role in an upcoming Walt Disney Studios film,” the post read. “We highly encourage performers who are Filipino or of Filipino descent to apply.”

According to the post, although acting experience isn’t required, applicants must be able to speak English fluently, are comfortable flying to Atlanta, Georgia, where the film location is, and are authorized to work in the US.

“This role is shooting for a few days in mid-February 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia,” it said. “We will be reviewing videos the first week of January and will email anyone we’d like to invite to audition!”
