A ‘Harry Potter’ TV series is reportedly in the works

A live-action “Harry Potter” television series is reportedly in early development at HBO Max.

According to Variety, several sources have claimed that “conversations have taken place with multiple writers on the potential series.”

However, HBO Max and Warner Bros. have released a joint statement denying that a live-action series is in the works.

“Harry Potter” is one of the most successful movie franchises of all time.

The best-selling book series by J.K. Rowling was adapted into eight films starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes and more.

A spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them” starring Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law was released in 2016, followed by a sequel “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” in 2018. – Margaret Claire Layug/RC, GMA News
