‘Cyclops puppy’ born in Tangalan, Aklan

A puppy with one eye in the middle of its head was recently born in Tangalan, Aklan.

Photos of the one-eyed pooch were shared by its owner Amie de Martin on social media over the weekend.

According to “Unang Hirit” on Tuesday, the unnamed “cyclops puppy,” which also had a deformed mouth and no nose, died shortly after birth.

A veterinarian said the deformity may have been a result of the mother ingesting a certain toxin.

Nevertheless, the owner plans to have the one-eyed puppy preserved as a family remembrance. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
