Mikey Bustos gushes over personalized Homer drawing he received from 'The Simpsons' creator
Mikey Bustos just received a personalized gift from one of his childhood idols, "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening.
On Instagram, the YouTuber couldn't help but fanboy as he showed off the Homer drawing that the American cartoonist had sent him.
"I'm screaming! For me, the legendary Matt Groening is a modern day Picasso!" he captioned.
Mikey shared that last year, the Groenings reached out to him for a chat with their son Nate, who was apparently an avid fan of his YouTube channel AntsCanada.
"I was completely blown away by their son's ant knowledge, passion for ant keeping, and pet ant colonies housed in our @antscanada ant farms," Mikey said. "We now schedule spirited ant chats on Zoom every now and then and it inspires me as a video creator."
And it looks like Matt was nothing but grateful, because he sent Mikey a drawing of Homer Simpson covered in fire ants.
"To Mikey and the millions of ants at AntsCanada! Your pal, Matt Groening," he wrote on the drawing.
For Mikey, meeting the Groenings because their son watches his show was "a full circle moment" because he grew up watching "The Simpsons."
"I will treasure this artwork forever!" Mikey said. "PS - Matt Groening's handwriting (3rd photo) is the actual font for the show! So cool right?! "
