Gardo Versoza confidently rocks heels in TikTok videos

Gardo Versoza may be known for his macho roles in showbiz, but lately, he is showing his softer and more quirky side on TikTok.

In Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," the veteran actor said he and his wife have been bonding via the popular app since the start of the community quarantine last year.

They started from fitness routines and dance videos, but Gardo eventually got the idea to wear heels.

"Sabi ko parang kailangan lumevel up so hanggang sa napunta sa stiletto, hanggang 'yung ngayon kumbaga 'yung parang platform na tapos mga eight inches na siya," he said.

His heels collection is now growing thanks to his wife, who keeps buying pairs and gifting it to him.

"Palagay ko babae ako sa past life e," Gardo said, laughing.

The actor also said doing TikTok videos allowed him to show another side of him as "Cupcake," a nickname that began in GMA series "Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap."

The actor said the show had a term of endearment that he requested to be changed to a more unusual one.

"Cupcake came up, and 'yun, from then on nag-stick na sa akin, hanggang sa kahit off cam na, Cupcake na," he said.

Gardo said his TikTok hobby helps him shake the negative vibes away amid the pandemic.

"Kung nag-e-enjoy 'yung mga nakakapanood, like for me nakakatulong din siya na pampagpag."
