Blackpink's Rosé becomes highest-ranking female K-pop solo artist on Billboard Hot 100


Blackpink's Rosé has now reached the highest rank for a female K-pop solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100!

According to a Soompi report, Rosé's debut track "On The Ground," which was released on March 12, placed no. 70 on the Hot 100 chart for this week.

Before Rosé's record-breaking release, CL was the first Korean female soloist to enter the Hot 100 chart with "Lifted" at no. 94 back in 2016. She was the only Korean female soloist to enter the list until Rosé's solo debut.

Aside from breaking the record in the Billboard Hot 100,  Rosé's also became the first female K-Pop solo artist to land on United Kingdom's official singles chart with "On The Ground."

The "On The Ground" music video also broke the record for the fastest to hit 100 million views for a Korean female soloist.
