Kim Soo Hyun, Song Joong Ki, Kim Seon Ho nominated for Baeksang Arts Awards


Kim Soo Hyun, Song Joong Ki, and Kim Seon Ho received nominations for the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards.

A report on Soompi posted the complete nominations for both television and film categories.

The list revealed that both Kim Soo Hyun and Song Joong Ki are nominated for the "Best Actor" award while Kim Seon Ho is nominated for the "Best Supporting Actor."

Kim Soo Hyun is nominated for his role in "It's Okay to Not Be Okay." He played Moon Kang Tae, a health care worker at a psychiatric ward serving as a guardian to his older brother Moon Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se) who is on the autism spectrum.

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki is nominated for his performance in the ongoing Netflix K-drama series "Vincenzo," where he plays an Italian lawyer and mafia consigliere.

Kim Seon Ho is nominated for his second lead role as Han Ji Pyeong in the Netflix series "Start-Up."

All three K-drama series were popularly recognized in the Philippines and have topped the Netflix trending list after their premiere.

As of this writing, Vincenzo is #2 in the Top 10 in the Philippines Today trending list.

Song Joong Ki's performance in the last episode, which aired on Sunday, was applauded by its viewers. The hashtag #VincenzoEp16 trended on Twitter after the episode's premiere.

Meanwhile, "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" is also nominated under the "Best Drama" category.  Oh Jung Se is also nominated under the "Best Supporting Actor" category for his role as Moong Sang Tae, while Jang Young Nam is nominated for "Best Supporting Actress" for the same show.

According to Soompi, the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards will be broadcasted live on May 13 at 9 p.m. KST via JTBC without an audience due to COVID-19.
