Maginhawa community pantry moves to bigger, safer location

The Maginhawa community pantry has moved to new location just 300 meters away from the original site.

On Friday, pantry founder Ana Patricia Non said that as a safety measure, it was now located at 108 Maginhawa St., Teachers Village East.

She also said that from just one, there would be nine pantries set up to speed up the process and decongest the crowd.

An ambulance from the barangay would also be on standby.

Patricia announced the schedule of the Maginhawa community pantry:

6 a.m. - 12 a.m. - open market
6 a.m. - 6 p.m. - open for donations

In her post, she also took the time to extend help and condolences to the family of Rolando dela Cruz, the senior citizen who died while waiting in line at the community pantry set up by actress Angel Locsin.

“Hinahangad din po namin na maging maayos ang kundisyon ng bawat Pilipino para di mailagay sa alangin ang mga seniors at PWD lalo na’t pandemya,” she said.

The community pantry organizer apologized for any disorder and inconvenience, saying she was open to suggestions and criticisms.
