Disney releases first look at new cruise ship with rooms inspired by 'Frozen,' 'Star Wars,' 'Avengers'

Disney has given fans a first look to its newest cruise ship that will bring to life the stories and characters of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and "Star Wars."

Dubbed the Disney Wish, the ship features spaces inspired by "Frozen," "Avengers," the "Star Wars" films, and many more.

Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Creative Executive Laura Cabo shared the details in a Disney Parks blog entry on Thursday.

Aside from having Disney's first Frozen-themed theatrical dining experience that will bring the world of Arendelle to life, the Disney Wish ship will also feature a Marvel cinematic dining experience where kids can play an interactive role in an Avengers mission.

The new cruise ship will also have a grand hall with built-in special effects, a sports arena that has game show-style competitions, and Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, a high-end bar designed as a luxurious "yacht-class spaceship."

The ship also has the Marvel Super Hero Academy, a "high-tech Avengers headquarter" where children can "train" to be the next generation of superheroes with the help of Spiderman, Black Panther, Antman, and the Wasp. The club also has Fairytale Hall where princesses and princes can create art, act out stories, and test "newfound icy powers."

The cruise ship, which has 1,254 staterooms, will go on a five-night cruise to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney's private island, Castaway Cay on June 9, 2022.

Bookings will open on May 27, 2021.
