'Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning' trailer introduces Kenshin's wife Tomoe

The trailer for "Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning" is finally here!

The fifth and final film in the live action adaptation of beloved anime series "Rurouni Kenshin" reveals how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar.

Continuing from the previous film, "Rurouni Kenshin: The Final," the trailer introduces Tomoe Yukishiro, the sister of movie villain Enishi Yukishiro (played by Mackenyu).

Tomoe is also Kenshin's late wife. She is played by Kasumi Arimura, who brought to life Airi Katagiri in the live action film of "Erased."

The "Rurouni Kenshin" film series is based on the manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki called "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," also known as "Samurai X."

It stars Takeru Sato as Kenshin Himura, Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya, Munetaka Aoki as Sagara Sanosuke, Yosuke Eguchi as Hajime Saito, and Aoi Yuu as Megumi Takani.

The first film, "Rurouni Kenshin," was released in 2012. Its sequels "Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends" were released back-to-back two years later.

"Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning" will be released on June 4.
