Ben Platt sings 'You Will Be Found' in first ever trailer for 'Dear Evan Hansen'

The first trailer for the film adaptation of “Dear Evan Hansen” has arrived!

It features none other than Ben Platt singing an emotional rendition of the iconic song “You Will Be Found.”

Based on the acclaimed Broadway musical of the same name, “Dear Evan Hansen” follows an anxious and isolated high schooler whose letter to himself is found in the pocket of a dead classmate.

The note, which was not meant to be read by others, is misinterpreted as a suicide letter.

Platt is playing the role of Evan Hansen, the same role he played in the musical.

The film is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Stephen Chbosky, also known for his heart-wrenching novels “The Perks of Being A Wallflower” and “Wonder,” and produced by Marc Platt ("La La Land," "Into the Woods").

Aside from Platt, it will star six-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams, Oscar winner Julianne Moore, and more.

According to Universal Pictures, “Dear Evan Hansen” is set to premiere in theaters this September 24. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
