Alessandra de Rossi has been active on social media amid the pandemic, but now it seems that she finds it taxing, just like many other people.

On Twitter, Saturday, the actress tweeted a common refrain in recent years: social media is toxic.

She also quipped about possibly quitting social media platforms.

"Nakakamiss ang outside [world] kung saan natatakot magsabi ng nega sa personal ang isang taong di ka kilala at baka makuyog ng barangay," Alessandra said. "Makalayas na nga."

("I miss the outside world where you're afraid of saying something negative about a stranger and get swarmed by the entire barangay. I might just leave.")

She ended with a joke about how some people would probably respond to her tweet.

"Mema/nega: wag ka nang babalik! Di ka namin kailangan. Me: Ikaw owner ng internet? Char!"

The actress remained active on Twitter as of Monday afternoon, even personally replying to tweets from netizens.

In an interview with "Quarantined With Howie Severino" last year, Alessandra said she's speaking up on social media because everyone has a voice.

Asked whether the experience stresses her out, she said she has only become active due to the lockdown situation.

"Magpapaka-honest na 'ko," she said. "Wala akong pakialam kahit kanino. It just so happened right now that I am stuck at home, at wala kang kausap so may time kang pumatol."

("I'll be honest. I don't care about anyone. It just so happened right now that I am stuck at home, you don't have anyone to talk to so you have time to respond.")
