Lorde releases 'Solar Power,' her first single in 4 years

Lorde is back!

After a four-year-long hiatus, the 24-year-old New Zealand singer dropped a warm and sunny music video for her chill new single "Solar Power."

Lorde's new summer-vibe bop is about chilling out and enjoying the summer, and the video follows her to a beautiful New Zealand beach where she jives with her friends in a luminous yellow dress.

According to Elle Magazine, Lorde said "Solar Power" is about "that infectious, flirtatious summer energy that takes hold of us all" during the summer.

"Solar Power" will also be the name of Lorde's next album, describing it as "a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalising the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I'm outdoors."
