Ed Sheeran on Filipino fans: 'I've never ever felt that much love from a place ever'
Ed Sheeran said Filipino fans have a special place in his heart after holding a concert in the country back in 2015 and 2018.
In an interview with Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," the British singer-songwriter said "no other place on Earth has fans like the Philippines."
"The first time I came to the Philippines and I've never ever felt that much love from a place ever," Ed said.
"Everywhere I went it was pandemonium, it's the first time I actually felt like a star," he added.
Ed said if not for the coronavirus pandemic, he would've visited the country again.
The Grammy award-winning artist recently released a new single titled "Bad Habits," where he was seen wearing a vampire costume.
He said it's a reference to a lyric in the song where a someone becomes a different person after sundown.
Ed also said the song was inspired by the changes in his life now that he is a father, cutting off the bad habits he had over the years.
"It's incredible, man. It's the best," he said about fatherhood. "It's not without its challenges, I'm still learning quite a lot but I'm enjoying every single day."
