Funko Pop to launch Ateneo, La Salle vinyl figures

This blue-green university rivalry has just gone to a whole new level!

Funko Inc. will be releasing vinyl figures of the official mascots of Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles and De La Salle University Green Archers as part of its “Pop! College” line.

According to comic and collectibles store Filbar’s co-owner Jacob Cabochan, alumni and sports fans from both universities will be very excited to take home the small keepsakes of their alma mater.

“Funko’s tagline is ‘everyone is a fan of something,’ and there are certainly huge fans of the Blue Eagles and Green Archers. In many ways, these mascots represent their school pride,” he said.

The new figures will be available exclusively at Filbar's stores starting July 12th for Php 800 each. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
