'Violet Evergarden' movie sequel is now on Netflix

"Violet Evergarden the Movie" has finally landed on Netflix!

The film is the highly-awaited sequel to the tear-jerking animated series about an ex-child soldier who tries to connect with her emotions through letter-writing.

Fans have been waiting for the story to continue since the series premiered in 2018.

“Violet Evergarden” is based on a Japanese novel written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase.

The story follows an “Automatic Memory Doll” who writes heartfelt letters and remembers a lost officer whom she realizes is very dear to her.

The series received a spin-off movie last year entitled “Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll,” which revolves around a young lady who attends a ladies’ college where she has Violet as her teacher. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
