'The Witcher' finally unveils Season 2 trailer

Netflix has finally unveiled the first full-length trailer of the upcoming season of "The Witcher."

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich premiered the trailer during a panel at the Lucca Comics & Games Convention in Italy on Friday.

Season 2 will pick up after the Battle of Sodden. Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows — his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.

While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

Starring Henry Cavill, "The Witcher" is based on the fantasy book series of the same name.

It tells the story of the intertwined destinies of three individuals in the vast world of The Continent, where humans and creatures and monsters battle to survive and thrive.

"The Witcher" Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 17. —JCB, GMA News
