Filipino-speaking Australian doctor Adam Smith to leave YouTube

Filipino-speaking Australian doctor Adam Smith announced he will be leaving YouTube after receiving backlash from other vloggers and personalities.

On his YouTube channel, Doc Adam explained his situation, later announcing the sad turn of events.

According to Doc Adam, he'll focus on his career and his profession as a doctor instead.

The Australian doctor and his Filipina partner started the vlog in 2017 to make health and medical related content to help Filipinos and clarify medical misconceptions shared by popular personalities.

Doc Adam said his main goal was to help state medical facts and not ruin other people's reputation.

Despite this, many vloggers and personalities have filed cases against him accusing him of ruining their image.

Doc Adam said this is affecting his content on YouTube and so he and his partner KC have decided to leave the platform.

"Dahil sa lahat ng naranasan ko dito, we've had some chats, me and KC, and we've decided that we're going to leave YouTube. It's not worth it," he said.

Apart from focusing on his profession, Doc Adam said they will also be doing some travelling.

"Not [just] travel, but travel and work. So we'll go to the north of Australia and do some work with like, deprived communities, like the Aboriginal communities and do some work up there," Doc Adam said in the video.

Doc Adam also announced that he and KC are planning to get married next year. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
