The Metro Manila Film Festival is just around the corner!

Eight films made it to the lineup of this year's film fest, which will run from Dec. 25, 2021 to Jan. 8, 2022.

  • "A Hard Day" (Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla)
  • "Huling Ulan Sa Tag-Araw" (Rita Daniela and Ken Chan)
  • "Nelia" (Winwyn Marquez and Raymond Bagatsing)
  • "Big Night" (Christian Bables and John Arcilla)
  • "Huwag Kang Lalabas" (Kim Chiu, Beauty Gonzalez, and Aiko Melendez)
  • "Kun Maupay Man It Panahon" (Charo Santos-Concio and Daniel Padilla)
  • "Love At First Stream" (Kaori Oinuma, Jeremiah Lisbo, Daniella Stranner and Anthony Jennings)
  • "The Exorsis" (Toni Gonzaga and Alex Gonzaga)

Last year, the MMFF was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year, however, the MMFF can once again be enjoyed in the big screen.

“It has been our desire for our theater partners to bounce back to business once again, and we are helping them build the confidence in the movie audiences and encourage them to go back to watching films where they should be enjoyed to the fullest – the cinemas," said MMDA and MMFF Chair Benhur Abalos, Jr. said.

Cinemas have started reopening this November as restrictions in Metro Manila eased. —JCB, GMA News
