Parokya ni Edgar's new album is coming out in 2 days!

Parokya ni Edgar is dropping their new album in two days!

On Instagram, Wednesday, the band's frontman Chito Miranda shared the story of how their new offering, titled "Borbolen," came to be.

Chito said some of the songs in the album were written right after their latest album "Pogi Years Old" was released five years ago. The rest, meanwhile, were all done digitally.

"'Yung iba, sinulat at ni-record namin during the pandemic and was recorded and mixed via email and Google Drive," he wrote. "Kumbaga pasahan lang ng files."

Another interesting bit about the upcoming album is that one of the songs was supposed to be a part of the album "Bigotilyo," which dropped in 2003.

"'Di pinayagan pero ngayon, nilabas na rin namin (bahala na)," Chito said with a laugh.

Though the songs were written in different times through the years, Chito assured that all of them have never been released anywhere.

"Borbolen" will be available in all digital platforms and can be pre-saved through this link, which Chito also shared on his Instagram account.

Last year, Parokya ni Edgar made it to the list of top OPM artists on Spotify for 2020.

The band made its debut in 1996. Among their popular songs include "Your Song," "Harana," "Gitara," "Pangarap Lang Kita," "Halaga," and "Bagsakan."
