Logan Paul loses $3.5M on fake Pokémon cards
Yikes — Logan Paul just got scammed out of a whopping $3.5 million.
In a vlog posted Friday, the controversial YouTube personality shared how he spent $3.5 million on a set of first edition Pokémon cards but received a set of G.I. Joe cards instead.
The video showed Paul and his friend Bolillo Lajan San, a known card collector, opening the supposed shipment with other card inspectors.
“Oh my God, bro,” Paul yelled after opening one box. “G.I. Joe? G.I. Joe? It could have been anything else."
“This is the biggest fraud in the entire history of Pokémon,” one of the inspectors said.
Paul continued to air his frustration over his purchase, saying: “I’m a super positive person, bro, and I’ll always be the one to look at the bright side, and I am trying, but this is very hard.”
According to TMZ, Bolillo Lajan San had reimbursed Logan Paul his $3.5 million.
"However, we will see how quickly I am made whole from the sellers who brought it to me already authenticated in the coming days, or if it turns into a drawn-out scenario,” he was quoted as saying.
Logan's Pokémon card unboxing video has already reached over 1.5 million views as of this report. —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
