The Japanese series follows Luffy and the Straw Hat pirates, a group that sets off to find the treasure known as “One Piece” so he can become the king of the pirates.

Netflix announced the series in January 2020. It is set to have 10 episodes.

Eiichiro Oda, the author of the manga series, is one of the show's executive producers.

"One Piece" was serialized as a manga in 1997 and is still ongoing, making it one of the longest-running manga series in existence. It spawned an anime with the same name in 1999. —JCB, GMA News
