'Liway' starring Glaiza De Castro to stream on YouTube for free this March

Starting March 18, you can stream "Liway" on YouTube for free!

The Glaiza De Castro-starrer will soon be uploaded on director Kip Oeband's YouTube channel, Cinema Centenario announced on Wednesday.

According to the video description of the teaser on YouTube, it will be ad-free for everyone until April.

"Liway" revolves around the experiences of a young boy named Dakip who grew up in prison during the Marcos era. It is based on actual events.

Glaiza plays the role of anti-Marcos dissident Cecilia Flores-Oebanda, popularly known as Commander Liway.

The film was part of the 14th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival in 2018, where it bagged a special jury commendation and the audience choice award in the full-length film category.

It also earned Glaiza Best Actress awards at the 37th Film Academy of the Philippines Luna Awards, 3rd GEMS Awards and Platinum Stallion Media Awards, and the Trinity University of Asia's 5th Platinum Stallion Media Awards. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
