SB19, BGYO, 4th Impact to headline 2022 PPOPCON

Good news, Pinoy Pop fans!

After two long years, on-ground concerts are making a comeback, and at the first-ever Pinoy Pop Convention (PPOPCON) happening from April 9 to 10, PPOP groups will be performing live at City of Firsts, Araneta.

Poised as the first and most significant event that celebrates Pinoy Pop Music, the 2022 PPOPCON will be attended by idol groups SB19, MNL48, BGYO, BINI, 4th Impact, Alamat, Press Hit Play, and 1st.One.

Up and coming acts like VXON, KAIA, DAYDREAM, G22, and more will also be gracing the PPOPCON stage.

“P-Pop is quickly gaining international attention and many fans are recognizing the talent and passion of many P-Pop acts. Through PPOPCON, we are celebrating the growing P-Pop community through the first event of its kind right here at the City of Firsts,” said PPOPCON Project head Andhie Salutin in a press release.

The event will happen at the New Frontier Theater on April 9 and will be capped off with a concert at the Araneta Coliseum the following day, making it one of the biggest entertainment events to take place at the Big Dome since 2020.

“We promise them that they will have the time of their lives at the PPOPCON; not only can they interact with their idols and other fans, they’ll also experience something that we’ve been missing for a long time, live music!” said Irene Jose, COO of Uniprom, the entertainment unit of the Araneta Group.

Despite the excitement, Jose assured that the safety of the fans who will physically attend the event is still the utmost priority, saying that they’ve “intensified health and safety standards” implemented in Araneta City.
