'Alice in Borderland' is set to return this December for Season 2

Netflix on Wednesday announced that popular Japanese series "Alice in Borderland" will be returning this December for Season 2.

According to Netflix, the 10 cast members who won the games at the end of the first season will be returning with production for the new season officially wrapped.

Netflix released a video with messages from returning cast members including Kento Yamazaki, Tao Tsuchiya, Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Sho Aoyagi, and Riisa Naka.

In the video, Yamazaki said, "We had these really large-scale scenes everyday and the world of the show is bigger than ever. I enjoyed filming the show very much and look forward to the final production."

Tsuchiya, meanwhile, said "Each shot has big set pieces, like explosions. I was able to experience it like my character Usagi, in those realistic scenes. Everyday was such a valuable experience for me. I felt it was a really enjoyable time.”

The story follows Arisu and Usagi, who have lost the meaning of life, as they risk their lives in the hope of returning to their original world by making it through a variety of "games" that play to different character traits, such as intelligence, strength, and teamwork. —JAB, GMA News.
