Here's a first look at Makoto Shinkai's upcoming anime film 'Suzume no Tojimari'

We finally get a first look at Makoto Shinkai's upcoming anime film "Suzume no Tojimari!"

According to a report on Anime News Network, the title translates to "Suzume's Door-Locking."

The newly-unveiled poster shows the heroine standing in front of an isolated door, water beneath her, and ruins around her.

"I'll see you later," the tagline said, as translated by the report.

"Suzume no Tojimari" follows 17-year-old Suzume, who meets a young man looking for a door. They find a door within ruins in the mountain, and Suzume opens it. Soon, more doors begin to open around Japan, bringing disasters from the other side.

This marks Shinkai's first film in three years. His last film was "Weathering With You," released in 2019.

In 2016, he released the hit anime film "Your Name."
