'Whisper of the Heart' live action film drops trailer

Studio Ghibli's "Whisper of the Heart" is getting a new live action film!

According to a report on Anime News Network, the film is set 10 years after the original story.

The teaser trailer released on Wednesday shows Shizuku and Seiji staying in touch with each other through with letters.

Shizuku, now 24, has given up on her dream of becoming a novelist and is now a children's book editor at a publishing company.

Seiji, meanwhile, is abroad and still pursuing his dream. He was a novice violin maker in the original story, but the new film trailer shows him playing a cello.

"Whisper of the Heart" is based on a manga by Aoi Hiiragi, which was adapted into an anime film directed by Yoshifumi Kondo in 1995.

The live action film will be released on October 14.
