In the recently concluded Dapat Totoo: GMA News Lectures for #Eleksyon2022, Kapuso actor Juancho Triviño stressed the importance of having a strong value system, especially in this day and age of the internet.

Social media comes with equal pros and cons, and Juancho highly advocates for his followers and fans not to base their opinions on posts that they see online; fact-checking, according to Juancho, is highly crucial.

"Syempre maraming information out there that we can't really clarify or check yung legitimacy of. That is why you should always be careful if you really want to stand for something" Juancho said.

"Be yourself and have a strong value system," he stressed.

Because he is a celebrity with a slightly bigger reach than most of us, Juancho spends a lot of time researching a topic before posting about it.

“We should really spend time in researching and really asking people what the truth is. So, you will always be careful, you know, sa mga ginagawa mo online and para wala rin tayo maapektuhan na ibang tao,” he added.

Dapat Totoo: GMA News Lectures for #Eleksyon2022 is a series of exclusive online lectures for college students from partner schools.
