Hold on to your seats — "Lightyear" is proving to be quite an adventure.

Pixar just unveiled the second trailer for the upcoming animated film, and the video revealed that Buzz Lightyear is somehow propelled into the future.

Buzz embarks on a "hyperspeed test flight" after a "full year of being marooned" on a planet.

But when he lands in his destination, he finds himself hiding from alien robots and being aided by his colleague's granddaughter.

It turns out that he had traveled 62 years into the future.

No wonder Chris Evans — who played Marvel's Captain America, yet another hero out of his time — was the one chosen to voice Buzz, right?

"Lightyear" tells the origin story of Buzz Lightyear — not exactly the Toy Story character, but the human it was based on.

The film will premiere on June 17. —JCB, GMA News
