J-Hope of BTS to headline music festival Lollapalooza


BTS member J-Hope has been added to the lineup of this year's Lollapalooza.

The social media accounts of the event made the announcement on Wednesday, naming J-Hope as the "first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival."

 

 

 

J-Hope also shared the news on his Instagram, saying, "This is going to be my first performance at @lollapalooza. It's a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history!"

Other artists set to headline the festival are Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Green Day, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, and Kygo.

This year's Lollapalooza will be held at Grant Park in Chicago from July 28 to 31.

Aside from his activities with South Korean supergroup BTS, J-Hope has also made waves with his solo music career. In 2018, he released his first solo mixtape called "Hope World."

In 2019, he entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart as a soloist when he released "Chicken Noodle Soup" featuring Becky G. —JCB, GMA News
